Robeson County Department of Social Services Solves Record Keeping Issues by Implementing

COLUMBUS, Ohio, (2/15/2005) – Robeson County DSS had "a need to improve the management of our case files and other paper documentation and to reduce the amount of space needed to store an ever growing mountain of paper records.", according to system administrator John Culbreth. DIS' solution met this need and goes far beyond the expectations of Robeson County DSS.

Robeson County DSS assessed a number of solutions during their evaluation period, but none met their qualifications as completely as . "DIS simply did a better job than their competitors in addressing the issues and offered what we feel is a better product, at a better price, and is well-suited for our current and foreseeable needs.", states John Culbreth.

The solution has already proven its worth to Robeson County DSS. Robeson County DSS was filing hard copy records in multiple storage areas. Whenever a document was requested, records clerks were sent to the storage area to track down and retrieve the documents. Now, the digital image is immediately available. A user can search for a document and print the requested information within a matter of seconds.

Mr. Culbreth also commented on the level of support provided by DIS for the solution. "Overall we have been extremely pleased with the level of support and service offered by DIS. The level of professionalism and genuine concern that DIS has with making their customers as comfortable and productive with their product has been nothing short of amazing."

Robeson County DSS looks to expand their solution to other document types and departments in the immediate future. As Mr. Culbreth states "The DIS system has the security we need to allow us to set this up, so access to the files, once scanned, can be tightly controlled."
